  • The Celebrity for 2024 is Tim Munton. Tim played over 500 games for Warwickshire before finishing his career at Derbyshire. He also played 2 Tests vs Pakistan. – see picture below.
  • The President for 2024 is Martin Southey – see picture below.
  • At the Celebrity Day 2023 at Frilford Heath, Celebrity, Peter Rhoades-Brown, and President, Clive Alcock, presented Dementia UK, represented by Anna McNee & Mandy Blair, with a cheque for £8,000; another very successful year supporting local charities in the Oxford area – see picture below.
  • The DOME ran out winners at the Tony Buck Celebrity Day at Frilford Heath – see 2023 Results
  • Fixtures for 2024 including a new venue at Buckingham Golf Club – see Fixtures 2024
  • We are sad to inform you that Collyn Fell has passed away after a short illness. Collyn has been a stalwart of Five Star being President in 2019. See Collyn Fell Obituary.
  • Another great day at Studley Wood with 18 teams competing for the Barry Yates Cup. Studley Studs running out comfortable winners. (See 2023 Results for the full results).
  • Burford Golf Club hosted the 2nd Event of 2023 season. MacAttack 1 ran out the winners with a creditable 91points. A wonderful day raising over £1000 for Dementia UK. (See 2023 Results Page for the full results).
  • Five Star Events have over 165 events around the Oxford area and have raised over £166,000 for 18 local charities.
  • At the Celebrity Day 2022 at Frilford Heath, Celebrity, Richard Phillips, presented both ROSY and Lawrence Home Nursing with cheques for £3,750; another very successful year supporting local charities in the Oxford area.
  • 150th Five Star Event took place at Frilford Heath on 2nd August 2019.
  • The President for 2023 was Clive Alcock.
  • Five Star Events are delighted to announce that Peter Rhoades-Brown was the Celebrity for 2023. Peter was a professional footballer. He started at Chelsea as a schoolboy before making his way through the ranks. He is best remembered for a goal he scored against Liverpool in the FA Cup, picking up a ball on the halfway line before slotting past Bruce Grobbelaar. He was transferred to Oxford United 1979 and is still working for the same club where heads their community programme.
  • Ian Wilson hits a Hole-in-one at Liz Harris Cup at Wrag Barn May 2023
  • Team Cotswold again ran out winners at the reverse match against 5 Star Events team, details are available on the Results Page
