Young Dementia Oxfordshire

5 Star Events are supporting Young Dementia Oxfordshire in 2023

Young Dementia Oxfordshire

Young Dementia Oxfordshire’s individual support and groups is a young onset dementia service provided by Dementia UK.  This service is available to people aged under 65 who have a diagnosis of dementia and live in Oxfordshire and their family members. If you or your family member live outside Oxfordshire, please contact our Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline.

Young Dementia Oxfordshire offers face to face, telephone and email support for people living with young onset dementia and their family members in Oxfordshire via a team of Young Onset Dementia Advisors.

They offer practical and emotional support and guidance not just about dementia, but also around financial and legal matters, employment, benefits and planning for the future.

They run a busy programme of monthly face-to-face and online groups which provide valuable opportunities to meet and make new friends, relax and enjoy the company of others.

They also provide the Adapt service for people who have been recently diagnosed with young onset dementia to help them to adapt to the changes that they may be experiencing, plan for the future, and offer emotional support in coming to terms with a life-changing diagnosis.

Young Dementia Oxfordshire’s Young Onset Dementia Advisors can be contacted by phone or email and can meet you at home, at the Cognitive Disorders Clinic, at one of their face-to-face groups or at a place of your choosing.
